BM Lenox Tan?

Hi I am going to have the main area of my house painted in a few weeks. The living room, dining room entry way and hallway are all open and connected.

I want a deep beige color, but dont want it to look peachy or gold. I have a lot of windows in this area.

I know this is a popular color. If you used Lenox Tax please share if you love or hate it!

Thanks

We have Lenox Tan in our office/den. I like it, but not sure for a whole open area... it definitely has a goldy/mustard tone to it. For a lighter version try Shaker Beige and for something with no yellow undertones (more gray) check out Smokey Taupe, my favorite!

Thanks I will check that out. I have a high ranch too! It is an open floor plan and the entry way has that really high wall from the first floor to upstairs so there is a lot of wall space. I have to go back and get more samples now.

The colors look nice! Is that yellow in the kitchen? I have the same thing, very little wall space in the kitchen to paint. I was thinking a pale yellow as well to contract with dark cabinets.

Did you hang anything on the wall that going from the first to second floor? I am not sure it something will look out of place on that big wall.

Re: BM Lenox Tan?

I used it, it's fairly dark. Love it but better for an area with alot of light. To me, it does have a warm/goldish hue IMO.

Thank you! Yes, it's a BM color. I LOVE it... it's definitely much different from lenox tan - no gold/yellow undertones at all. More gray/taupe instead of beige. If I knew about it sooner I would have used it in more areas of the house!

I don't have Lenox Tan but I thought I would show you my Hi-Ranch wall. I probably could have put something bigger on that wall, but I had it already so I used it. Chat Icon The paint is BM Carlisle Cream.

I thought I wanted Lenox Tan but it looked golder than I wanted when I put it on the wall. We went with Brandon Beige which is definitely more taupey.

I have Lenox Tan in my living room and love it. But it is a very rich color and goldish. I was afraid it would be too dark for all over the house so I went with BM Bleeker Beige for ur hallways. I know BM Shaker Beige is more muted as well and that's on the same color palette as Lenox Tan.

Pics In My Album of both colors.

Re: BM Lenox Tan?

I'm debating the SAME EXACT thing right now.

I've got Smokey Taupe in the mix or Manchester Tan.

My current bedroom is Manchester Tan and I love it. The only concern I have is that it's "lighter" than the taupe I want. I'll have a fireplace that I want to paint white, so I want the color of the tan to pop out w/out drowning out the house.

I thought the Lexon Tan was gorgeous, just to dark for the entire livingroom/dining room etc....

I probably will do the Smokey Taupe for everything, and the kitchen Manchester tan for a small contrast.

Best of luck to you! Can't wait to see pics.

Thanks everyone! I have a few more weeks to decide so I'm going to buy some more samples. I will post my first pics soon!

I had the house painted when we first moved in and the color came out totally wrong so I am so nervous!! LOL If it comes out bad again I will be stuck with it!

Jen - I like the iron wall decor next to the door! How did you hang it? That wall is so high! I think I have the same dining room set as you. Is it Canadel from Fortunoff?

Can't wait to see what you pick. Chat Icon

We have an 8ft ladder and we put the ladder on the landing and hung it that way. Not easy at all. DH did it. We have the 8ft ladder because we did our own painting in the house and between that wall and the catherdal ceilings we have in the kitchen and DR, we needed it.

Yes the DR set is Canadel, but we bought it from Tiffany Furniture on Rt. 110. We love it.Chat Icon

I love Canadel and get a lot of complements on it. I have 2 matching corner units for the dining room to match. I also found stools for the island that have the same exact back as the dining room set and they are birch as well. (not Canadel but another company in Canada) I never went in Tiffany furniture before. I will have to post pics soon but now the place is all covered in plastic.....
