Your best family vacation EVER!
So I might have to reconsider disney in July but am stumped as to where else to go. I really need a break. We have two kids - just under 2 and a 5 year old. I was looking at the turks and caicos but dont know if there is much for the kids to do there other than beach and pool.
Would consider a driving vacation down the east coast but where to?
Where is the BEST place you have gone on vacation with your kids ( not disney )

We took all three (2,2, and 4) to Myrtle Beach last year. Lots of stuff to do with the kids.

We drove there. It would have been 14 hours, but we stopped in Virginia and stayed overnight (got a suite for $115 so the kids went to bed and we got to hang out and eat pizza/watch tv/have a cocktail in the other part of the room). There were a lot of cool things for the kids. There is Ripley's Believe it or Not activities - the Aquarium was AWESOME! There were street fairs and bouncers off the Boardwalk all summer. Margaritaville has shops and an amusement park on site. There is also an amusement park right by the beach (Broadway at the Beach). There are tons of mini-golf places too. Oh and they have the Medieval Times Dinner/Show. There is a childrens Museum too. The beach is always a hit. Lots to do.
I don't know anything about Hilton Head. Sorry!

My kids are a little older but we love cruising. There are things for the kids to do all the time.
