x-post: 22 years ago today...

I lost my grandma. It's very strange to me- we live in her house now, and our room was her bedroom- which is the room that she died in. (Which in some odd way comforts me, it doesn't scare me). I woke up this morning just laying here re-living the day 22 years ago... I remember being young but still clearly remembering every moment. She died in her sleep, and I was the one who came in to try to wake her for dinner. I yelled out the window next to her bed to my dad, who was laying the foundation for my parent's house next door at the time..... I can't believe how long it's been. I even remember the ambulence coming and taking her away
Now I am truly finding comfort knowing that she is with our unborn child, and that they are wrapped in her arms, watching over us... I can feel it today- and know in my heart that it's true.
It's a very bittersweet feeling... but at least there's comfort.
RIP grandma- I miss you.
