Yes, lymph nodes can get swollen and cause some discomfort when facing an infection but it’s not something that happens every time, actually this happens very few times. The amount of infection that settles in the body, how well equipped our immune system is at the moment, and how it responds to the infection can dictate if lymph nodes get inflamed or not.
I can’t speak from my own experience cause I have not gotten the vaccine but I have heard many women experiencing what you’re experiencing. What puzzles me is the connection between menstrual cycles and this type of vaccine. It’s not just vaccinated women that are experiencing this but also unvaccinated women that have become in prolonged contact with vaccinated people and that have never really had issues with their periods before. I’m talking about hundreds of women having either very long periods, extremely heavy periods, passing significantly big blood clots during their period, spotting for several weeks, or not having their periods at all for multiple months. I hope they look into this issue and fast.
I recently read something about unvaccinated women experiencing this after prolonged contact with a vaccinated person. Someone posted the article on Facebook, which got me googling, but there was two people who swear it happened to them. Maybe the separate area for the unvaccinated isn’t so bad
I think the being near someone who has been vaccinated, so my period is late, or I'm getting bloody noses in allergy season...is really reaching. I've read those posts all over the mom groups on FB.
I haven't been vaccinated, but like many women who are talking about this that I have seen in the groups I'm in (40 something women), I'm also in my 40's, and my periods can be normal, and then very delayed. That's what happens in your 40's though.

That really sucks, honestly as I was only worried in the beginning when everything was all new and no one really knew what was going on. By last May I was pretty much done and went on with life, not really worrying to the point of anxiety.
I really don’t get the switch from feeling anxious and then ok from getting the vaccine but if it helped and you get no side effects then that is great.

I have been vaccinated and I got my period two weeks early and it was very heavy, cramps, lasted 5 day’s. I am fairly regular even thou I’m in my 40s and my period never lasts more than 3 days. I also had a bloody nose and I haven’t had a bloody nose since high school. So yeah, pretty sure they are both vaccine related. Also has a horrible reaction to the vaccine itself starting 9 hours after I got it. Will not be getting it again. My strange period and bloody nose were not menopause and allergy season. It was 100% vaccine related and to think otherwise is ridiculous.

You could walk into a CVS this afternoon and get vaccinated.
If you didn’t get it and got a severe case of covid then you might regret not getting it. Have not heard of one case of that.

My mom, way over the age of menopause so no issues there, got blood shot eyes that she actually went to her eye doctor to make sure it wasn’t a clot or something bad. She didn’t want to tell me as she knows how I am against this vaccine. Scary and while she is ok, another thing that has never been mentioned.

I haven’t had the vaccine but travelled to visit my mom who had her second dose of Moderna 1 1/2 weeks earlier. I was with her for about a week. My cycle never deviates and is always very predictable flow wise. I am early 40s so it can totally be a coincidence and things can be ‘changing’ but I was 2 weeks late and had exceptionally heavy flow for 7 days. My daughter who was with us as well had hers delayed as well.

I am not searching but being aware of things to make my decision. I think it is good for people to know the possibilities of things that could affect you. So many are just doing this and not really knowing about 3rd shots and lasting issues.

You are so ignorant. Read the news some time. They know that a side effect is that it effects your cycle. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that I started “menopause” symptoms and developed nose bleeds just a week after getting a vaccine known to have these side effects. I had a nose bleed in early to mid April. How bad was pollen then? And I am not searching for a reason not to get it, I already got it.

Personally I think some people may be searching for reasons not to get the vaccine. With the MILLIONS of vaccines delivered this is likely a correlation vs. a causation.
I got the vaccine so what am I searching for by telling people about things I experienced? I think people should know what’s going on.
The problem with associating your symptoms with the vaccine is that menstrual cycles are easily affected by stress, diet, etc. You cannot definitively say that one thing causes another.
Besides, is it a one month thing? If so, is it really that consequential?
The likelihood is that they are not related at all. However, others who want to will take it as a reason not to get the vaccine because they are searching for reasons not to.
If there was truly something that affected women's menstrual cycles on a large scale, permanently, then I believe it would have come to light by now.
Many vaccines have been known to cause changes in mentrual cycles. My doctor believes I had vaccine induced thrombocytopenia which explains both the bloody nose and early heavy period. Do some research before spewing nonsense.

First of all, I’d love to know what school of medicine you graduated from? Second, what sense does it even make regarding your comment about women searching for reasons not to vaccinate??? The ones who reported the issues HAD the vaccine. In all likelihood unrelated??? Stop shoveling your personal agenda down others throats that this vaccine undoubtedly causes NO HARM when it has not even been officially approved by the FDA or has even been around long enough that there are clear and absolute answers. Just stop. Stop silencing women who have true health concerns especially when you have ZERO knowledge of their past medical history. These issues must be fully investigated and we need to stand together for a holistic approach to the stupid friggin virus. WE get to weigh our risks vs benefits as it pertains to ourselves, until all information is collected that is not possible. PS zero f’s are given about any media article you post about this. Find the case studies and we can talk.

When I scheduled my mammo a few months ago they specifically asked if I had the vaccine because if I did, I would've needed to hold off on my mammo for a few weeks. They mentioned swollen lymph nodes could obscure my mammo results. I don't think it's any concern healthwise, the doctors were very matter of fact about it.

I have heard this on the news too however I had a mammo scheduled since January and it was 5 days after I got the vaccine. They did have an additional form when I got the mammo asking if and when I had the vaccine and which one it was. They said it was still fine to get the mammo. So I guess you can but there is an increased chance that the results might be affected by the vaccine.
