Why is it...
when you're sick...you need to "get over it" but when your s/o or dh is sick they have to be treated like a friggen baby...

Oh you didn't know? We have superpowers and change into our wonder woman outfits so nothing bothers us, they on the other hand, put on their scooby doo underoos and whine like little beyotches

On a similar topic (btw, I usually do *more* when I'm sick, since if I lie still, everything gets congested and I feel like cr*p. If I move around and do stuff, it's easier to breathe....) my DW and I were commenting on how men and women are treated differently after abdominal surgery. I had an appendectomy a few years ago. Incision is about 1/3 as long as DW's C-section incision, and less damage, obviously. however, she was forced to start walking and doing things the day after surgery. With me, I was babied, told to take it easy for a few weeks, given plenty of pain meds, etc. She went through sooooo much more than me, but was treated like it was a minor boo-boo that a kiss could make go away. I sympathized with her a lot, and agree that it isn't fair or equal.

I keep my DH hopped up with Vitamin C, I dint like him when he is sick and he hates me more because Im "mean" He gets a headache and needs an ambulance, he has chest congestion and its Anthrax. So me being nice and helpful runs thin. I get the flu and still manage to do wash, food shop and clean the bathroom, and cant even get some wonton soup, so my patience is gone with him and his "Im sick" crap, doesnt exsist.

Every single time DH gets sick we get into a fight about how "mean" I am.
