Who needs the bigger room? DS or DD

Hello ladies! My intention was to always move my DS to the bigger room when i had my second child. So, now I'm pregnant with a little girl, and Everyone is telling me that girls need a bigger room (both bedrooms are on the small side). The difference in size is maybe 3 ft? However, the smaller bedroom has the bigger closet. While the bigger bedroom has a smaller closet. Any recommendations?

Lol. That's what I think. But some are saying I could just get a bigger dresser. But I prefer less clutter in a room.

Plus, the bigger room has a full size bed which I figure I could just transition DS to. And the full size bed will just take up all the room in the smaller bedroom!

Yeah DS will need the larger bed sooner...
Plus to me girls= dresses that need to be hung and a lot more shoes. Boys tshirts/Jeans are fine in a dresser!

I was in the same situation and I gave the larger room to DD. I didn't want to change DS around over a few feet. He loves his room.

The older one gets the bigger room, that is the only fair way to do it. Also, ds will probably be bigger and want a full size bed.

How much bigger is the closet? Is it only a foot bigger vs. a walk in..? If it's only a little bigger she might need the bigger room for a dresser like you said.

Growing up my brother (who was 5 years younger) got the bigger room. His toys were always much bigger so he needed the space for it. My mom used to tell me they were the same size though ;)

My DS has the bigger room out of the 3 three. I didn't want the girls complaining down the road that one got jipped.

I've always been about giving the oldest the biggest room. They were born first and get the big room. Boy or girl.
I have two boys and the biggest room has two big closets. When I was prego with DS2 I was debating if I was having a girl I might give her the bigger room, but then decided it should go to the first. Of course I wound up having a boy.
I remember growing up a girl I knew had the biggest room with two older brothers and it had a bathroom. She was actually pretty self centered, but don't think that has to do with the room. I knew the brothers resented her. Maybe b/c the mom spoiled her more. Not sure exactly why, but I always think of that. LOL

i think the girl needs the bigger room!

I have a brother and he lived in a small box for a room and he didn't mind it. i would have died. boys go out and play outside more. girls play more in their rooms and have more sleepovers. plus clothes, but i don't think just a bigger closet is ok. i just think in general a girl needs a bigger room.
