Where would your ideal place to live be?
I would love love love to move out of NY but it's only a dream. My ideal place would be somewhere that it never goes above 75 or below 40 degrees. Wonder where that is?

75 degrees is a little chilly.
Dream place......I would maybe say San Diego. Weather is great, but so expensive to live!

my ideal place is South FL
and I hope to be there by 10/09
now that home prices have dropped there- (which also means property raxes dropped- 2% of of purchase price are your taxes)
I can't wait- it's my ideal lifestyle

Manhattan, I grew up in the city on the weekends (parent's divorced) and would love to own there now....just not happening!

South FL... where we are now. The weather is great, seeing palm trees everyday is so calming, it feels like we're always on vacation and we got a great deal on our townhome!!

Hmmm, I'm the same in terms of weather. I want warm all year, like a constant spring and fall... But I couldn't go south, it's just not me!

I love where I live now beacause of our lake & the semi rural setting but my ideal would be to have acreage but also be walking or bike riding distance to a small town or mainstreet area. Not an easy find on LI. I'd like a shorter winter too.
We considered buying land in Tennesssee to build on down the road but we scratched that plan.

this is San Diego - we lived there for a few years and will probably end up there again. It's no more expensive than NY really. I found that when we moved out things were cheaper and there are different housing options from LI

Southern California...but that will never happen, all of our family is in NY/NJ/CT so we will most likely never go beyond those 3 states.
