when your child wakes up in the middle of the night..
who USUALLY wakes up..you or DH?
just curious.
to answer my question, I do. My DH never never wakes up when one of the kids wake up.
BTW I am a FTWM.

My youngest(2) is a total Mommy's boy. When he wakes- he would scream bloody murder if DH entered his room.
So, if our 5 year old wakes up, DH gets him, if the little guy wakes- it's me

Me but I am a SAHM so I don't mind. However, if ask him to go deal with her though, he will. Especially now since I am 37 weeks pregnant, it's not always easy to get up out of bed at night.

ftwm here. 99.9% of the time it's me
in the early months he wanted to help out and feed her but I felt it was so much easier for me to nurse her. Now if she wakes up(which is rare) he will go in to soothe her/cio progressive method. She will be 7months Thursday

DH works night's so it has to he me, except on his nights off he's up during the night anyway and he can help out.

We take turns.
Last year I was home with him and during the week I always woke up and on the weekends DH did it. Once I went back to work we alternate.
Fair is fair!

DH works nights so its usually just me, and i'm forced to wake up... however, on nights that he is off and I'm working the next day, he will go get him. I'm usually the one who hears DS though (DH is a heavy sleeper) and have to tell DH to go get him.

Same... DD is waking up 3x a night because she is teething. Last night I took our dog for a walk and when I came in DD started to cry and I was thinking DH can handle it so I went to wash my hands and she was still crying and so I walked to the bedroom and DH rolled over looked at her and then saw me and went back to sleep.
I asked him this morning why he didnt help her and he said because he doesnt know what to do.. .which is bull because he stayed home with her for 2 months for paternity leave. Well we talked about it and I told him all he had to do was put the paci in her mouth.

Mostly me... I'm a FTWM.
Usually by the time I get home at night I have about 1-2 hours tops with LO so when he wakes up in the middle of the night, which is maybe 1 or 2 times a week, I love it lol. I love cuddling with him and soothing him to sleep.

I am on maternity leave now so it is 100% me though he does sometimes wake on Friday nights so I can sleep more but once I go back to work - 50/50 baby! Whether he likes it or not.

Me. I'm the world's lightest sleeper, and DH sleeps like he's drugged. The monitor could be under his ear and he won't hear it. I can hear when DD is moving around in her crib!

When DD was younger we would alternate nights. So one night DH would wake up and the next night I would. Both of us work FT and needed sleep. Now that DD is older she rarely wakes at night. When she does, I will usually get up with her. If something is going on and it is a rough night, we both get up and do what we need to do. Sometimes she wants mama and sometimes she wants dada.

I'm a PTWM and DS typically comes to me. But last night he went to DH.  DS typically only wakes 1 time to pee. There's really no rhyme or reason, sometimes DH gets up but mostly I do.

DH and I usually both wake up. As a newborn it was always either both of us up or just DH, he was really hands on. Now that DS is older we both usually wake up but if DS requires that someone be up a while for whatever reason, it's usually me since I'm a SAHM and get to sleep in whereas DH is up early to catch the train for work.
