When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

And are you doing it?

If you are then kudos to you! But if you're not, are you satisfied with where you are in your life both personally and career wise?

A teacher...and No I am definitely not a teacher. I am very happy with where I am now, it took awhile but I love the company I work for and do actually enjoy my job

I wanted to be a princess.

But I grew up to be a teacher and I love love love what I do.

Throughout high school I wanted to be a lawyer, but became a social studies teacher and am 100% happy with that decision! In fact it's probably one of the best I've made.

As a little kid I wanted to be a vet, too bad blood freaks me out That and I was not a science scholar!

I wanted to be about a million different things. I wanted to be an actress, a teacher, a writer, a stand-up comedienne, a rock star... It's a never-ending list! I have SO many interests.

Everyone told me I'd be a good lawyer, so I got it into my head that's what I should be, I think. I AM a lawyer (and a darn good one at that, lol ), but I'm not happy with it. It sure will not be forever...

Honestly, sometimes I feel like I am living somoene else's dream... but I am choosing to view it as a stage that will help me get to my ultimate dream.

I wanted to be a singer/actress first and foremost. I also wanted to be a teacher, but that was if the first 2 didn't work out. It became evident that the first 2 were not going to happen because I had zero talent in those areas-lol.

I am a teacher now - entering my 7th year in the fall.

I wanted to be the first girl in the MLB.. clearly that didn't happen.

I wanted to be a doctor. Like Kara said, I sometimes think it was someone else's dream. Everyone in my family was disappointed when I decided to become a teacher, but I think it is one of the best decisions I have made. I love it!

I wanted to be a geologist because I thought the rocks at the Museum of Natural History were pretty. (I was 8 at the time). Then I wanted to be a Sports Journalist. Now I'm a teacher.

I wanted to be a famous singer and tour all over the world. Well that did not happen.

there were a ton of things i wanted to be. Mostly an Opera singer ( ) and doctor. I'm a nurse. Next step is NP, so that's close enough (and maybe eventually DNP, but i'm working on short term goals right now)

I am happy. But, i think i'd be happy no matter what... and, yet, at the same time, i think i would still feel like something would be missing, no matter what. I think finding comfort in your place in life is nice, but it's also limiting. Even if we've accomplished our dream, i still think that we should always strive for more. Stagnation scares me.

I wanted to be a bus driver

I take the bus- that's as close I came

then I wanted to be a buyer

I am in product development- close enough - but better for me!

First a dentist, no, I'm not doing that, but from about 4th grade on, I wanted to be a professional flutist, and yes, I am doing that

I wanted to be a teacher. Then I taught a semester of meteorology for flight students at college as a favor and I absolutely hated it.

I work in Marketing now, and I sort of fell into it. I love my job and who I work with so it makes life easy for me. I'm taking classes to get my graphic design certificate and I'm hoping I can make a go of that eventually.

I wanted to be a Veterinarian, but when I got older I said nooooo way too much schooling!! (i hated college)

But I am extremely happy where I ended up and I now work for an amazing commercial RE and investment banking company.

I wanted to be a neurosurgeon (high hopes for a little one ).

I went to school for DNA Forensics.

I'm a SAHM and I wouldn't have it any other way

I wanted to be a singer/actress on broadway.. I did it when I was younger and then stopped. I wish I never did. But now I do love my life and my daughter so I cannot complain!! My job on the other hand could definetly be better!!

I wanted to be in the Air Force, just like my dad. But my dad is a retired finance officer, I wanted to go to the Academy and be a fighter pilot.

I ended up getting my degrees in marketing and now I'm a SAHM. Love it, wouldn't change it.
