when you go food shopping with your child/chilren, do you

put them in the car then put groceries in the trunk or do you keep them in the cart pack your trunk then put them in the car? Just curious. Want to know the safest way to do things....

I put the kids in the truck and then unpack the cart


with more than 1 child its easier to have them all buckled in the truck instead of worrying about the 3/4 (depending who is with me) and what they are doing

I unpack the cart then put Andrew in. I always keep my hand on him when I do it. I am always so afraid that if I put him in first someone can come in and take him

It depends. I usually put the groceries in the truck, wheel the cart back to where it belongs, take the kid out and walk back to my car and put them in their car seat.

I put Roman in his carseat with the door open and then load the groceries into the back of the truck.

Girls in first, then groceries...but who am I kidding? I've never gone food shopping with them both...in that case, *girl* in first, then groceries.

I load up the car, then go and return the cart and get my money back, then I stuff the kid into the car and go on my merry way.

First I put him then the groceries. I'm paranoid of a car hitting the cart or carriage while I am loading the car.

I keep her in the cart while I unpack it, then put her in the car.
I always park right next to the cart return station thingie otherwise I leave the cart in the parking lot like a bad shopper!

I unpack the groceries and then return the shopping cart (one of my biggest pet peeves is people who don't return shopping carts) and then I take dd out along with her floppy seat and return to the car.

When I first read it, I thought she said trunk too, but she wrote truck.

Usually put the groceries in with her still in the cart. I am so frazzled by that time, I am just glad that the shopping ordeal is ALMOST over! I swear, I went alone the other day...it is amazing the "healthy" groceries that came home with me. When I have Em with me, it is like a episode of "Supermarket Sweep". Run through the aisles and get to checkout ASAP!

I nthe car then load the trunk. Sometimes if it too hot I don't do it right away, I start the car (nice AC), load the trunk, then everybody gets in the car.

I leave them in the cart while I pack the car, just so I can have my eye on them all the time.
