When to start looking for child care?

I am a soon to be first time mom and not really sure when we should start to look.

Our situation is a little complicated... Baby is due 11/24 and our house should be done right around the same time. We currently live in Westchester but will be moving to Ridge. Can anyone recommend childcare options around that area?

Re: When to start looking for child care?

I started looking around 15 weeks or so. Some places I went to look at were actually booked for when I was going back to work... 9 months later!! Definitely suggest starting the process sooner than later !

ITA....I had the same experience. I started looking early March for November dates and a lot of places were filled.

I couldn't believe it! Luckily our first choice was available, but my really close second choice is STILL full!

I would start looking as soon as possible.
