Whats the deal with BRU return policy that everyone talks about?
I keep hearing that BRU has a horrible return policy. what is it???

No returns without a receipt unless they can document the purchase somehow.
Ive never had a problem with them actually even though I have heard horror stories.
If it's bought off your registry you dont need the receipt and if you bought something on a credit card they can look it up.

I returned things from my registry without receipts, had no problems.
ETA: I got store credit.

Just adjust your registry. This is what I just did yesterday (my shower was saturday) and I got a couple of duplicates. Sign in to your registry and change the amount purchased to 2 or however many you got of the item. This way if the person didn't include a gift receipt it clearly shows on your registry that you received more than one. Then you'll be fine to return it.

Oh ok, so if it was bought off the registry you can return without a receipt? I am talking about in the event of duplicates. Can return one of those items if it was on your registry?

You can exchange sizes without a receipt. You also only have 90 days to return items--therefore any big items that you will not use until the baby is 3-6 months they suggest you open and put together to make sure it works because if it doesn't you will have no luck returning it after 90 days. I was also told which makes no sense that the 10% completion coupon can only be used on items that you actually scanned into your registry at the store  --dont know how they can tell the difference but we will see. THis is one of the reasons I registered for all my "big" items at BBB--I believe there return policy is similiar to Bed Bath and Beyonds.

honestly we didn't have any return problems with the Sayville location. We returned items without a recipt & one item not on the registry.

If it is on your registry and shown to be purchased from your registry you can return it -otherwise you have to have a receipt - which is why a lot of moms these days hate shopping there.

For those who bought off the registry and I had to return ---it was no problem...
with those who did not buy off of the registry and did not give a gift receipt , there were some issues....
to solve the issues, I went online added whatever the item was that I received but didn't want...
I marked it bought...
waited a week-two weeks and then returned it-
They can tell when you add it yourself- but they didn't give me a hard time...I knew they knew and technically I guess they shouldn't have let me return it, but they didn't say anything...

90 days from purchase - gift receipt...
but ive had no problems at the one in westbury either... even things not on my registery, they took... i simply say im registered there...
ive seen on here, that girls put the item on there registery to avoid problems, so that could work...
