Whats the best brand of baby food (organic and not)
And what's your child's favorite?
I want to do homemade food too but I doubt I'll be able to do it all the time b/c of work. I'm not crazy about jar food b/c of sodium content but what can you do. So is Gerber better or Beechnut? And what do your DC like the most - sweet potatoes? apples? carrots? peas? anything else? I'm just trying to get a sense of what to get once Liam starts solids and can eat baby food. Thanks!

I don't know if there is a better brand or not but I use Earth's Best, GerberTender Harvest and Healthy Times. They are all organic. For some reason Gerber Tender Harvest discontinuned or got rid of many of their varieties.

Usually you start with Stage One foods:
Peaches, Apples, Pears and Peaches, Carrots, sweet potatoes and Squash. There are stage one greens: String beans and Peas too. They have smaller jars.
I have never given him the baby food desserts because it looked like there were added sugar in them.

I always used Earth's Best Organic and my store had a small selection of Gerber organics.

Where do you buy Healthy Times?
I buy Gerber(organic and non), Earth's Best and a few flavors of Beech Nut too.
She likes them all!

I have seen some Healthy Times at Stop and Shop (the cereal). I bought the jars online. I was looking for Organic Barley cereal and they were the only organic baby cereal I could find.

Honestly, I wanted to use organic jarred food, but even the organic meats are gross. I just make her food ahead of time in a large batch and freeze it. I have very little time to do things like that, but it's worth it for the little extra amount of time.
