What would you do?? Tory Burch Miller Metallic Sandal

I have the Tory Burch Miller Metallic Thongs in gold. I've worn them about 5, maybe 6 times, and the gold is rubbing off! You can tell where my toes rest and where my heel sits from the dis-coloration..

I took a pic with my cell to show you, you can kind of make it out here...i circled it in red.

I love love love them, but I don't think it's appropriate for $195 sandals to do this... Should I bring them back??? I love them so much i don't really want to!!

what would make it perfect for you? a new pair of the same sandals ? a credit?
decide what its worth then call the store you bought them at and request what you would like them to do

I think that's ridiculous...yeah maybe $50 but $195 and the color is rubbing off..RETURN THEM.

Also maybe its just this pair, maybe they're defective for some reason. Maybe someone else will post who has them...

We would all think that shouldn't happen when you spend $195 on sandals .........for that kind of money I think you are absolutely justified in retruning them and trying to get a refund or a replacement.

That being said, they're shoes. They're beautiful shoes, but they are still, just sandals. It might happen again - it may just be the material, the way you walk, the way they molded to your feet - etc -



I can see why you wouldn't want to part w/ them though !!!

I am contemplating returning a pair of TB flats-- I have worn them about 5 times and the inside leather sole is already coming apart-- for, $195-- these shoes should hold up a bit more.

except my gold ones have my ful foot print

I just keep wearing them

Ok, I called ShopBop (where i ordered them from). The girl was super nice. She said they have been receiving some complaints about this same issue. She said she wouold refund my money this one time, or can give me a new pair. I LOVE them, so I'm gonna get a new pair and try again... She's sending me a ups label to ship for free, i just need to send them back, and she'll process the new pair.

ETA- I just called the store in NYC- she told me to bring them in for a new pair!

you know- it is so sad these days that something that costs $195 isn't made any better than something that costs $40!

You should demand your money back- or a credit of some kind towards a new pair of shoes.

I do think though that it will continue to happen, pair after pair- because gold finish sits on top of leather, doesn't stain down- in the summer from sweat and friction, the finish will come off no matter what.

I spoke to the sale people at the store- and they said it was common

b/c of the metalic color and foot sweat

I am honestly and truly disgusted with TB and I'll never purchase from them again. My Revas looked like crap with in 3 weeks of having them. The bottom sole totally ripped away from the shoe. They refused to give me a new pair and GLUED the sole back on. Needless to say, it happened right away again and the shoes still look like crap.

CS was a nightmare, nobody ever got back to me promptly and I got a glued pair of shoes. The so-called "repair" also took a month.

Although I love the TB look she is overpriced and her shoes are poorly made.

I had a very expensive pair of shoes from another designer. The gold inside rubbed off too. I was so mad!!!!

my cheap metallic pair of Jessica Simpson sandals have only just started to do it....and I only paid $35 for them.

I have had metallic shoes before that haven't rubbed off, so I don't think that is a high enough quality shoe for the price that you paid.
