What type of Mommy and Me classes did you wish existed on LI?
Just curious to hear your thoughts on things you wish existed for parents here on LI that you can do with your baby/toddler...

More parks that had equipment appropriate for toddlers!
Yes, thats defiitely needed, but actual activities that you can do with your child... Besides the typical open gym or gymboree type of thing...

I want to try Yoga with my dd. my sis did with nephew and he loved it. I cant seem to find a place to take her, thats not supper exspensive

I was just looking at the website and they do have it in Queens. They have it in Forest Hills and Woodside. Thanks so mush for posting this website. I just found out that place two blocks away from me has this program. I live in Brooklyn.

What?
It involved alcohol...I dont even drink any more and I was thinking about pina coladas when I read the post...it was in poor taste really ...Im just having one of those days. I just pictured these Karoke type of bar where you could bring your kids...they would love the music and the singing...the mommies would the drinks etc...you get the picture.

Since I didn't grow up on LI and work from home, I have a hard time meeting people. So now that my little guy is here I am hoping to meet some moms who have things in common. Anyway I like the idea of going somewhere to play with the kids and socialize with the moms, so the umbrellas & social time sounds great to me.

ME 2 or some kind of excersise class for use that involves the child ( I have seen something about that on tv where you hold the baby and play with them while you excersise)

Art classes. Things like finger painting or regular painting, lots of glue sticks, glitters, crayons, markers, popsicle sticks, anything that has to do with Arts and crafts. We woudl do the type of things they do in daycares and learning centers. Although I could do that at home, I would much rather do it at a place that was designed especially for that. they woudl have all the supplies there and we would come in and have some fun. It woudl be cool if you paid for the day. No Mom or Dad woudl have to worry about making a mess in their house. At this imaginary place you woudl just have to clean up your area and then you could leave.
I think that would be a cool idea!!!
