what to do to kill time before a surprise party??
my sister and I are throwing a surprise party for my mom's birthday saturday night...we're trying to figure out what to do with her for an hour or so before we take her to the restaurant, we need to get her out of the house so my father can get down to the party...I'm trying to think of something to do in Huntington...but we can't take her to dinner, because they'll be food at the party....any suggestions??

My SIL just told me about an art museum in Huntington that is featuring an exhibit of Ansel Adam's work. Maybe that's an idea? (Sorry, I'm not familiar with the area, so I can't really help with the details, but she saw the article in newsday this weekend)

yes, THANK YOU, this is the perfect plan!!! We'll go and get a bottle of korbel at the bar to celebrate, it's her 60th birthday, and then we'll go to Meehans for the party. She's never been there, so Tara and I have been telling her it's this great pub kind of place, and there's a dining room with a fireplace (the emerald room where the party is) and afterwards we can watch the band...so hopefully she'll be surprised, thanks ladies!
