what should I hang over my bed (pics)
I still need rugs and finishing touches in my room. I really want to hang something nice over the bed...any suggestions? (these aren't the best pics but you get the idea)

I've seen some really nice framed prints with the blue/brown scheme around. Maybe two side by side.

I agree with some framed art... maybe 3 together. We got 3 similar prints from Kohl's already framed (flowers in a sepia tone) and hung them over our bed.
I'll try to get a pic and post it... we also did blues and browns in our bedroom.

Even a shelf or staggered shelves with pictures and stuff. Or those wrought iron sculpture things. Candle sconces. Or wall vases.

It's a large enough space to do groupings...either of small mirrors, 2 or 3 large prints or scrolls.
Do you have a collection of anything - from travels or your HM? A grouping of that would be pretty.

I got it at Crate and Barrel - I love it. I really wanted something that didn't MATCH the furniture but coordinated with it and I think I really got it right. the upolstered headboard is really nice and soft when you are sitting up in bed. It's comfy.
ETA: Ophelia - I also happen to love La traviata!

I would go with something striking-like the wrought iron piece it will draw your eye to that beautiful bed. They have lots of architechtural looking wrought iron pieces at Home Goods

i looked forever for these shades!! I FINALLY found them at storehouse. The bad news is that they went out of business :(
SIlk trading company will custom make them (but it comes with a price!)
