What "rules" did you say would be in effect before getting a pet then changed when you got the pet
When we knew we were going to get Simba my rules were simple:
No Simba on the couch
No Simba on the bed
No Simba in the front 2 rooms - baby gate the rooms
No human food for Simba
Rules now:
Simba has his spot on the couch and if you sit in it, he will sit on you
Simba has a lovely queen size bed he loves to just sleep in all day with or without us in it
Simba has use of the entire house except the guest room which we have the door closed at all times
Simba eats some human food

No people food at all- She gets some grilled chicken and turkey on occasion

Hah!!!Great Question!!!
No Misty on Bed -
No Misty on Couch-
Always walk and pick up poop so there aren't any surprises in the yard -
No Misty in room while doing the deed
Misty stays in crate when we aren't home-
What we have stuck to -
She doesn't come in the room when we do the deed.
Other than that she runs the show!
Although, she still isn't allowed to chew her stinky feet or bones in bed

Gerty that is funny
I wish I could teach Simba not to eat his bone in our bed. Every time I see him with his bone in our bed he just looks really cute and I dont want to disturb him.
OMG my dog definately runs the show around here

Gerty that is funny
I wish I could teach Simba not to eat his bone in our bed. Every time I see him with his bone in our bed he just looks really cute and I dont want to disturb him.

Little secret - I let her chew her stuff in the bed when it's just me at home...DH doesn't know. And for some reason, she won't even bring the bones or hooves onto the bed when he is home
