What is your favorite age so far?

A question for everybody but especially moms of older kids.

We had a rough start when she was a screaming infant- she cried until about7-8 months old all the time. Since she hit 8 months I have been saying every month "this is my favorite age so far"- every month gets more and more fun.

I ask because my brother has a 4 year old, a 2 year old, and a 4 year old and he recently told me 18 months is his favorite. So I am wondering if in a year or 2 I will be wishing she was younger again.

My current favorite is 19 months, which she is right now.

So what is your favorite?

Re: What is your favorite age so far?

I'm definitely not liking 10 years old. My DD must be going through PMS because all we do is argue. I like it when she was little because "Mom's word ruled". Now all she does is challenge me. I hear from friends who have older kids that it only gets worse.

It makes me appreciate my 14 month old more and more.

Don't get me wrong though, I wouldn't trade them in for the world. My girls are my world.

I've loved every age (well, maybe not the throwing yourself on the floor stage).

I know that sounds lame but there is good & bad about every stage.

I love the infant stage (not the first 3 months) where you can hold them.

I loved the toddler stage when they walk like little drunks & are trying to learn words.

I love the pre-school age when they're trying to figure out how things work.

I love the kindergarten stage, where they're sharing what they learn every day.

I agree with this 100%! I have a 11 year old stepdaughter, and everything is a hassle. She's lived with us since she was 7, and I liked it better when she listened Chat Icon Chat Icon DD is 10 months and I'm loving this age...she's so playful and fun.

Its true - there are good and bads at every stage.

I am loving the stage the twins are in right now at 21 months.

My 9 year old son though - not loving the stage he's going through - the talking snotty, challenging everything, know it all stage.

I'm guessing this depends a lot on temperment, but I am loving 2 years old. My daughter has always been demanding, so the tantrums are nothing new -- now she is just so much fun and happier than she ever was before...

Even though Jared can be difficult sometimes...I'm really loving his age now...2. I love how he can express himself to me and how we laugh together and play.

It's probably different for me, since I'm not the primary care-giver, and as a dad, my views are a bit different, but I like DS's current age (4). We can play together, interact, have conversations, do the stereotypical "guy" stuff (He calls us "D guys", since his name is David, and my name is Daddy... Chat Icon )

I am missing that tiny newborn stage (even though it was rough) but I really think I keep enjoying her more and more as she gets older. She really is a good baby. Pretty even tempered and just fun to be with. She has a great personality and I feel like each week it just comes through more and more. I don't think I can pick a favorite age. If I had to I think I would say right now, from about 20 months on.

I do like every age also.. but not the first 6 months. Those were some rough a$$ days..Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

But I hafta say now at 18 months he is walking/running EVERYWHERE.. especially to the street whenever he can. And I'm not liking so much the chasing all over thing. When I take his arm to redirect him he pulls his arm out of mine and throws himself on the ground screaming. Chat Icon

At a 4th of July party the other day, we had to leave within 2 hrs b/c he kept running down the driveway to the front of the house and trying to run into the street. I spent an hour just walking back and forth up and down the sidewalk with him. Tried to put him in the stroller and he threw a fit.. so I'm actually looking forward to him being just a tad bit older when the novelty of running into the street wears off...Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

My favorite age was newborn until the time he was mobile. He is 2 now and chasing after him is exhausting!

I like it now that he is learning new things and is getting smarter everyday! Finding out that he can count to 20 already made me cry!

I can tell you what stage I don't love its that one (the terrible 2s). Especially when it was in a crowded department store!

I love the newborn stage and her trying to walk stage. I love the 2 3/4 age now stage because she is talking and exploring the world.

Hmmm... well, I have to be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of Alex's first year. But, now, despite the diva-tantrums, I'm loving this stage. She's so interactive, and just hysterical as she learns something new everyday.

At three and a half months I am starting to get full nights of sleep so I can appreciate and enjoy her soooo much more. I am loving mommyhood right now. I am so in-sync with what my daughter needs and we have such a great routine and life together right now.

I have an almost 5 year old, a 3 year old and a 1 year old and I can honestly say I've loved something about each age. I do love that 1-2 year old age though. I'm trying to enjoy every moment with my youngest since he's our last.

I am definitely loving this current age, which is almost 13 months. She is just a total joy for the most part. Fun, excited, huggy, mushy, talking up a storm, singing. She's like a drug I can't get enough ofChat Icon

DS is now 10 months. While I LOVE this age because he has a voice and and "opinion", I loved the first 9 months (I was still nursing Chat Icon ). I have to honestly say though, everyday seems to get better and better Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
