Re: What is involved in grieving taxes???

my FIL did this all the time... we actually just bought his house from him, so now we'll do it too Chat Icon all i know is that the house is twice as big as our first house, and we're paying the same, or slightly less taxes.
i think he would just go in with a list of why it should be reduced. certain things like " well, this bedroom ( in the basement) doesn't have heat in it, so you can't count it as a bedroom" and i forget what else. basically he just bugged them until they said " ok, fine! what do you want to pay?" LOL just so he would leave....

Kathleen, there are companies that do this for a living. A few girls gave them great reviews, too. I think Mark Lewis Griveance comes to mind, but you could run a search. A lot of girls do this in the spring as the STAR applications are due.

When you move into your house, you're mail will be inundated with their sale ads and what they can do for you.
