What do you get for the people that have no real hobbies or likes?
DH's parents are impossible to shop for. They don't read, don't have hobbies, no real likes, don't really go out to dinner, and we've gotten them everything under the sun with DS's picture on it. Any ideas for the extremely difficult to shop for? Thanks!

What do you get for the people that have no real hobbies or likes?
you MUST be talking about my dad lol, he wont wear things I buy him, not into gadgets, no hobbies but likes to read. I would not dare buy him a book. I might buy the wrong type. I for every occasion that requires a gift, B-day etc. I buy him a a gift certificate to the local sweet shop. He goes there for breakfast at least once a week sometimes twice. He LOVES the gift cert, I know he uses it bc he eats there. This year I even gave him the $$ to tip for the meals :)
PS his B-day was OcT he used the cert and I bought him a puzzle
Puzzles and certificates or Gc to restaurant, most people eat out

this is my mom. well she reads, but doesnt like food, or to eat, or to go shopping, or to get mani / pedis, massages, etc.
I got her and my MIL tickets to MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL. which is visiting at the bucks co. playhouse near me in January. they can go together and complain about their hotflashes

What do you get for the people that have no real hobbies or likes?
Netflix subscription if they don't have one, dvds, Harry and David basket, Omaha steaks. I just got my mil a Poinsettia and local fudge for her birthday.

my parents are like this, but go out to eat. We get them a Gc to a restaurant they frequent in their town.

I just make sure I include a gift receipt. Like I sometimes buy my parents home goods but they can exchange if they don't like what I picked out. Same for clothes. I may buy something from a store they like and include gift receipt so they can exchange.
I also sometimes give cash. I know it is impersonal but I used to love getting cash gifts when I was younger. We are Asian though so it isn't so uncommon.

What do you get for the people that have no real hobbies or likes?
Do they drink and/or like food? In their case I would do a wine basket, or some type of food basket...either sweets with various chocolate, cookies, cakes etcc or savory with crackers, spreads, jarred, olives, peppers, hot sauce, vinegars & oils, things like that.

What do you get for the people that have no real hobbies or likes?
This may not go over well in your family, but couldn't you suggest stopping gifts? In my family we just don't give gifts for every holiday. Maybe for a "special" event, but not for every Christmas. My parents don't want anything and would just rather spend a peaceful day together.

You could get the DVD recorder so they could transfer
New camera?
Outdoor decoration? Like wreath
What about a basket of the month thing. Like something edible
