What cold meds can I take?
I am not quite ready to join you ladies yet as I am waiting for my beta tomorrow but have been getting BFP's for 6 days now. I guess you can say I'm 4 weeks..
I am wondering what cold meds a pregnant woman can take?
I have a horrible head cold and cough and am seriously suffering not taking anything.
Any recs?
My OB is closed today and my RE's secretary never knows anything so I figured I'd ask here first.

What cold meds can I take?
I suffered though as much as I could, but I was allowed to take Tylenol Cold and Sinus, which I would take at night to help sleep. Nothing, absolutely nothing, really helped, not even the Tylenol. It was a combination of allergies/sinusitis and it just had to run its course for about 2 weeks.

Oh I am right there with you, I have the mother of all colds since Friday. My dr's office said I can take ...
Tylenol, Robitussin (but nothing with a D so Robitussin DM is out, for example), saline spray, cool mist humidifier, and cough drops.
I know its a pretty scanty list, but that's pregnancy for ya. I found a cool damp washcloth on my face/patted around body helped with that hot achey feeling.
I'm SOOO happy to see you here!

Try a neti pot! I have the world's worst allergies even before pregnancy and they are ridiculous now. The neti pot has helped so much. Doesn't make it perfect but definitely eases up and relieves the sinus pressure.
Other tips for sinus pressure/headaches: steam (stand in the hot shower or let the shower run and close the bathroom door and hang out), a cold compress over your head and eyes, chewing some mint/spearmint gum.

Sucks I can't take my Advil cold and sinus!!
Thanks but I am not joining just yet. Today is my official AF date and I have had slight cramping and yuckt brown discharge all day so I am freaking. Praying this is not another chemical but staying positive (trying lol)

Thank you! Neti pot is a great idea. Totally going for that right now.

Just read your updates, oyy .. well staying positive is the best you can do and remember that brown discharge does not def mean its a bad sign!

What cold meds can I take?
Definitely NO Advil cold and sinus; you can't even take regular Advil.
My OB told me Claritan, Regular Tylenol, and Sudafed.

hot shower -- then neti pot. twice a day.
tylenol and warm compresses in between.
