What can I take besides ibuprofin to relax back muscles?
I was on prescribed flexiril for a while..but now I need to go for tests to get more. I need something in the mean time. I have a bad back and neck.
I used to take ibuprofin but it doesnt do much to relax my muscles? Hot baths only work for the short term. Any suggestions?

aleve is 'naproxen sodium'...and naproxen is a muscle relaxer... it should help!

aleve is 'naproxen sodium'...and naproxen is a muscle relaxer... it should help!
My Dr. had suggested aleve 3x/day for my lower back.

I get those heating pads at cvs they have the store brand and the name brand. They are white and have little metal tings inside they stay warm for about 8 hours. I know the box is red and they are sold in the same aisle as the bengay and stuff. they make different ones for different parts of the body.

Aleve/naproxen is not a muscle relaxer...it's an anti inflammatory like ibuprofen...it does work better for me than ibuprofen though.

When I have severe pain this is what I do too! Most of the time I wake up in the morning pain free!
