When i was at the wineries the other day I stopped in jamesport and picked her up some beautiful flowers. I knwo they were early but it was beautiful and I knew she'd like it.

My mother's birthday is close to Mother's Day so I usually plan a whole day together. We go do some kind of activity, then gorge ourselves on food, then do a little shopping.
We both like Trish-and-Peg days together because they are a lot more memorable and sentimental than anything I could wrap in a box. 
On Mother's Day, my sisters, Mom and I are going out to brunch together. I'll probably make some potted plants for all of them and bring them along. I have been keeping them in stock with plants for years.

My mom lives in Florida and has been really bummed lately that all of her family is in NY. So we are all flying down the Friday before mothers day to suprise her. She has no idea we are coming. Me, DH & DS are going to show up at her job saying "Did someone order NY Bagels & Pizza?" My dad is in on it and has already asked her boss for the Monday after off. We are going to spend a nice relaxing weekend just chilling with her. I also bought her a tiffany charm bracelet with the taxi cab charm to remind her of NY.

Very nice! I am doing something similar! My parents moved the Maine last summer & my mom gets bummed when she can't see me for special occassions. My dad called me & asked if I wanted to surprise her. So I am headed up there on Saturday morning to surprise her. She has no clue!!! My dad is in on it along with my brother & SIL. She is going to be so thrilled!!!

OMGosh that is absolutley the sweetest!!! Some how, take pics!!!!!
I have no idea what to get my mother.
She hasn't been feeling well and I"d LOVE to get her a cleaning lady. I'm looking into it.

Jewelry. My mom just became a grandmother for the first time (see avatar pic ) so I was thinking of getting her a piece of jewelry with the baby's birthstone. Lucky for my mom that the birthstone is Diamond!!! 
Usually my brother and I do a joint gift when we want to spend a bit more money.

my mom is very hard to buy for, she returns half of what she buys for herself so we can never buy her anything,

We'll be getting my mom the same thing. Flats of flowers so she can do her gardening. Maybe we'll go together so she can pick them out, then I'll prob make dinner.

I got her an IPOD and downloaded a bunch of her favorite music, meditation classes and the podcast from the New Earth.
The day of Mother's Day we are having brunch at my house.
