weirdest thing happened earlier tonight..

At around 7:30 i had a horrible sinus headache, so I put one of those cold eye packs on my face and just tried to relax. I ended up falling asleep for like 45 minutes. I was in a room that has pretty bright high hat bulbs in the ceiling. I was reclining back on a chair when I fell asleep, so my face was pointed towards the ceiling.

I woke up at 8:30 - still with the eye patch on. I took the patch off, and my sinus headache was gone.. but I couldn't see!! Literally everything was blurry!! i could hardly make out what was in front of me as I was walking around the house. This lasted about 15-20 minutes. It gradually got better, but for the first 15-20 minutes everything was 1 big blur.

I don't wear contacts, and don't normally have blurry vision.. at around minute 15 I started to bug out.. thank god it got better.. SLOWLY!! No idea what happened.. Maybe the bright light dialated my eyes?? I mean my eyes were closed and I had the eye mask on, so I don't really see how the light could have penetrated both...

Super scary though!! This thanksgiving I'm thankful for my VISION!!!

That always happens to me when I use a cold pack. I don't think for as long, but for a while I can't see a thing. Glad you can see again and feel better!

I think it is from the weight of the pack on your eyes. It happens to me all the time and I don't even put the pack in the fridge, I just use it to block out light. I always thought it was kind of "squishing" my eyes and that was why they had to readjust.

Put your fingertips over your eyelids and gently press for about 15 seconds and the same thing will happen. It's because of pressure on your eyes.

This also happens to me in one eye when I take a lot of pictures and am looking threw the viewfinder a lot.

I think it was probably b/c of the weight of the patch over your eyes. but it still seems weird it took that long for eyes to go back to normal....at least the headache went away! I just went to the doctor over the weekend for the same thing! that's my biggest nuisance this time of year- sinus issues!!
