Weird Smells?

I know food can change in smell when you are pregnant, or seem stronger. Have any of you noticed random smells that you can't trace though?

I think I must have a different smell now, since I constantly seem to smell a slight odor, something like baby powder and plastic if that makes any sense. At times it doesn't bother me, and at other times it makes me gag. The other morning on LIRR, I smelled something nasty on someone around me, but DH didn't notice it at all.

Is this unusual or do others have a sense of smell that's off or stronger than usual? Also, does this go away?

heightened sense of smell- totally normal.

my own scent--I think it's the same, but my dog treats pregnant people differently and that makes me wonder if it is scent related (we have a preggo, besides me, on here that my dog was glued to when she visited me, but I won't name names).

I am "super smeller" when Im preggo...I swear I can smell that my DH is getting a cold!!!!

i have the nose of a bloodhound and it SUKS. all these random smells bother me, some of which i can't even identify, and it's totally unpredictable. for a while i couldn't even stand to be near my dogs - who, for the record, really do NOT smell

the good news is that it can get better. in the height of my morning sickness i hurled in the middle of target from the smell of the supermarket. went back there yesterday and had NO idea what on earth i could have been smelling - couldn't detect anything offensive at all. so there's hope, it can improve!!

I smell "fanthom" smells all the time too! For awhile it was cat litter We have no cats nor are there any pets allowed in our complex and I could never figure it out. Sometimes I'll smell something and DH just thinks I'm nuts
