Weekly Menus for 2/14 anyone?
I love that Peapod will deliver on a Saturday morning at 6 am. Puts my head in the game and gets me planning nice and early! Wheeee!
My whole schedule last week got messed up because of snow and then Vday.. ahdlajkflsdjf.
But I'm back in the saddle!
Sunday: Vday for my sweeties! I'll make heart shaped pancakes and bacon for breakfast.. but dinner will now be at my MIL's.
Monday: Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Beet Salad.
Tuesday: Chicken Burgers, sweet potato fries, cucumber salad.
Wednesday: Taco Night!
Thursday: Chicken Piccata (trying Blu-ize recipe!), Orzo, House Salad
Friday: Steamed Flounder, Brown Rice, Broccoli
Saturday: Pasta with red sauce, chick peas and chicken sausage.
ETA: Ash Wednesday. *SIGH* Tacos are switched with Pasta and Chick Peas. I'll still make the turkey sausage though because we are heathens.

Sunday- Chicken Kiev, brown rice pilaf, steamed veggies, chocolate crepes for dessert.
Monday- Stuffed chicken cutlets w/ mozzarella cheese and asparagus, rice and salad.
Tuesday- Pizza
Wednesday- Shrimp and whole grain pasta.
Thursday- baked ziti
Friday- Lemon chicken

my vday dinner got kabbashed to!!
Sun: nice breakfast for my hubby (I'll post it on Monday b/c he'll see it if I do it now and I want to surprise him Vday dinner at my SIL
actually, I am not prepared to post for the rest of the week yet. I'll get back to you.
ok, here we go
Mon: white bean, sausage, and escarole stew with warmed baguette
Tues: (for mardi gras) pancakes, chorizo, spinach omelets
Wed: roasted salmon, sauteed spinach, and roasted yams with cinnamon butter and maple syrup (I completely forgot it was fat tuesday  )
thurs: marinated hanger steak, frites, sauteed broccoli rabe
Fri: out
Sat:??

SAT - Rotisserie chicken with roasted potatoes
SUN - Vday breakfast will be pancake squares and cinnamon rolls For the pancakes, I want to use a 9x13 and split into thirds of blueberry, chocolate chip, and banana walnut. For dinner, peppery filet mignon with red wine sauce, caesar salad with homemade eggless dressing, & potato gratin (pioneer womans!) and for dessert... nutella molten lava cakes
MON - Rotisserie chicken with roasted balsamic asparagus and couscous
TUES - Baked shrimp and feta pasta
WED - spaghetti and meatballs with sausage or lasagna... not sure yet!
THURS - beef stew, white rice
FRI - chef's night off... aka SUSHI!

Today - V-day (had people over): Baked brie, beouf bourginon with golden mashed potato crust, baby greens w/ dried cranberries, gorgonzola, walnuts and raspberry viniagrette
Monday: Grilled Mahi Mahi and vegetable ratatouille
Tuesday: veal scalloppini, spaghetti squah and broccoli
Wednesday: orzo with chicken, mushrooms and sundried tomato in a garlic cream sauce
Thursday: Peppers stuffed with ground turkey and couscous.

Wed.- Pot roast with mashed yukon gold potatoes
Thurs.- One skillet pasta with chicken, brocolli and romano cheese

Ok so I reworked my menu because today is mardi Gras and I forgot - so I kind of had to invent a dish based on that I had on hand:
So instead of my regularly scheduled dish I am making Andouille and chicken jambalaya stuffed peppers - hey it was the best I could come up without letting my food shopping go to waste
We'll see its my own little bastardization of a dish so it could be  or  - lets hope for the former!!

DH is away on business this week (Tuesday-Friday) so that means lite meals for me.
Sun: Steaks, sweet potato casserole, and green beans
Mon: Homemade pizza
Tuesday: Ravoli
Wednesday: Chicken Kiev (Omaha Steaks) and mashed potatoes
Thursday/Friday: Working in the city, so I will probably grab something in Penn to eat on the train, since by the time I get home and pick DS up at my ILs, it will be late
Saturday: Maybe out to dinner or takeout
Sunday: Working from 5pm-7pm so DH will make us a late dinner or I will get takeout for us
