Wedding Hall with excellent food
My cousin is getting married and is looking for a wedding hall that has excellent food in the queens/long island area. We have a big Italian family that knows good food so its important that the food be good
What hall is your favorite?

100% flowerfield I'm st. James. We got married there- AMAZING food and service. They are definitely known for good food. They will also customize the menu for you. They are wonderful and I cannot say enough about them.

Fox hollow!
2 recent family weddings there. Big Itailian families. The chef even made some Sicilian specialties to have at cocktail hour.
Food is amazing.

De seversky isn't typical wedding entrees and I loved the food.
Attending a wedding at fox hollow this past August and entrees were delicious! Especially dh's Chilean sea bass. Restaurant quality. Wedding food is usually okay at best.
Wasn't too impressed with the cocktail hour food though.

Marina Del Rey. Nothing compares. I think the food at most LI catering halls is nothing special. The only food I have truly enjoyed is Russos and Marina.

I think it really depends on the person and they should go for a tasting if it's that important. There are places listed here that I've been to that really weren't that great IMO but that doesn't mean someone else didn't think it was great.

I agree. People rave about fox hollow, I didn't like the food choices for dinner at all.

Russo's on the bay is an obvious one, lol. I have to agree with the poster above who said bridgeview yacht club. I'm not really a huge fan of the actual venue itself, but the food was AMAZING at the wedding I went to.

I second this. My family is off the boat Italian and most of my family had weddings at Russos. I wanted something different and we chose Marina --all of my uncles and cousins are chefs and raved about the food.

Out of the million weddings ive been too i think the top inbterms of food are: Sand Castle (Franklin Square), North Ritz Club (Syosett) and Marina Del Ray (Bronx between white stone/Throgs neck)....Sand Castle and Marina have a very stereotypical Italian feel to them...i.e., Marble, Columns, Wood, etc. My family is off the boat and loves that stuff hahaha
