vent about the store credit at Justice
so my 8yr old DD loves shopping at Justice.My mom bought her a bunch of stuff for vALENTINES dAY AND THEN AGAIN JUST BECAUSE SHE Had a coupon. well someof it didnt fit and some wasnt her style so I just returned it for store credit and then I take my DD to pick out and try on stuff later. so they dont put the store credit on a card they put it on a slip....so I got 2 slips one had $106 and the other had $30. well we spent $39 that day so I used the $30 credit and $9 of the other so I left the store with $97 credit.
went there Saturday and picked out some things and went to use the credit and I see that it says credit left $7 and I was like hi it should be $75 left ....someone validated the wrong credit and gave me back the $30 instead of the $97 one but it said $97 on the front
I had to sit there for 40 minutes while they were trying to figure out what to do.......but thankfully I had all the receipts so they could see what happened
it was very annoyng

That IS annoying! But it sounds like it was human error on the part of the cashier and not a bad policy problem. I'm glad they were able to sort it out for you!

yes but it would be so much easier for them to just put the money on a card instead of using the slips because when you use the credit they take the credit slip then get a new one to reflect the new amount and then validate the back but its so easy mix up the 2 kwim.....and it almost happened again when she was trying to fix the problem

Wow...I didn't think anyone still used those credit slips. They had just phased them out when I was leaving retail...about 7 years ago!!
I'm glad you had all the receipts and were able to get it all figured out. Knowing me, I would have been screwed because I throw everything out!

Which Justice did you go to? I have returned stuff to Justice and they just put it back on my credit card.

I just got a slip from Baby Gap. Seriously we are living in 2010 arent' we.
Glad they fixed everything.

I had someone at BBB explain to me WHY they use a slip, not a card --- apparently the slips can be traced and looked up if the customer loses it. A card cannot.
