VAWA
The Violence Against Women Act is a key piece of legislation that was originally passed with bipartisan support in 1994. It was reauthorized with bipartisan support in 2000 and 2005. It faced some opposition when lawmakers wanted to add same-sex couples to the victims it protected. It expired in 2018, received some short term funding, and then you know who in the senate has been holding it up ever since.
It just went through the house again for reauthorization,
172 REPUBLICANS Voted Against it.

Disgusting. I know this is happened forever but I really hate it when they just vote down party lines. Don't these people have their own brains. Maybe they just need to make these violent crimes felonies and there wouldn't be any issue on gun control then.

I really don't get the gun control or stripping away of rights. A person loses rights when they are convicted of a crime. If you want to own a gun...then don't stalk and threaten your girlfriends.
After the last administration and really getting more in the mud with politics...I am disgusted with how the US treats women and children...absolutely disgusted.

I’m in favor of people having rights to own guns but I agree with u CookiePuss, a convicted person should not exercise that right for obvious reasons. I don’t see any valid reasons that would allow convicts to keep their right to own a gun, they’re already a danger to others, imagine how much more they’d be if they rightfully own guns! This guy definitely had an uncontrollable sexual addiction but I do believe it was more than that, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had other severe mental problems.
