First, I'm SO sorry you're going through this. I know it's not ideal, but can your company give you a loan? My company will give employees going through hardship a loan and then it gets paid off over the course of x number of future paychecks. In other words, a $5k loan will get paid off over 10 paychecks by reducing your future paychecks by $500. It may be enough to get you through mortgage payments for now?

I know you and your family still have a tough road ahead of you but I wanted to say I am happy your Husband is home. I know it's an uphill climb but I wish the best for him and hope this speeds up his recovery.
