unique wedding shower gift
I am attending a very close childhood freinds bridal shower and plan to give a monetary gift as the invite mentioned something about a honeymoon gift. Wanted to give her a little something extra to open though besides the check, any unique ideas? Someone already got her the swarovski toasting flutes.Looking for something out of the ordinary but cute.TIA.

I found a really cute state shaped cutting board on etsy. I had them put a brass heart in the general area of where the bride and groom were from.

I had my sisters cake topper made from an etsy vendor. I sent them a photo of her dress and how she was going to style her hair as well as a photo of them so she could get the coloring/hair correct. It came out AMAZING. They loved it, and have that remembrance forever and the dress really looked like her dress.

i got a few unique things at my shower, but of course can only think of 2 right now...
a personalized hanger for the wedding dress (from etsy)
and this is more for the home - but a gift basket of towels and kitchen stuff.
there were hand towels (some wtih oven mitts) for every holiday/month (and i mean EVERY holiday - st patricks day, valentines day, easter, july 4th, etc).
you could also do a wine poem if they like wine

I have made honeymoon bags for friends. A cute beach bag, towels, sunblock, a book, personalized Mrs. XXXX bikini, and a cute beach coverup. It's always a huge hit.

i was also going to mention the Channa plaque (i bought myself one, it was awesome and I have it hung up now in our home) or a personalized wooden wedding hanger - great for pics!

One of my favorite shower gifts was holiday basket. It had cute kitchen towels, decorations and candles, etc. for each holiday. Four years later I still use a lot of the stuff. I love that someone took the time to buy a little something special for each holiday throughout the year. Personalized wedding stuff is great for the wedding but rarely gets used again. As for a name plaque (channa plaque) be sure the bride plans to take her husband's name- It caused a bit of drama that I hyphenated my name and "ruined" my mil opportunity to get us a name plaque.

my sister did a wine basket for her friend. it was different bottles of wine to open up for different occasions. she paired it with a set of wine glasses and corkscrew.

A date night gift bag?
You basically plan a date night for them. Could be dinner and a movie. Could be coffee and a book store. Mini golf and ice cream.
