umbilical cord question...UPDATED!!
After it falls off is it still supposed to be crusty inside? Ava's fell off a few days ago but it still looks bloody in there.
UPDATE: Ava went back to the doctor today and they cortorized her belly button because it was still kind of bloody.....so he says we can finally give her a bath tomorrow

Sarah's was. Keep cleaning it, that's more of the cord. It will also fall out soon.

Agreed...it's still more of the cord. My son's didn't fully fall out until he was almost 3 weeks old! The Dr. said that was ok and normal - some take longer than others.

this was marissa as well just keep cleaning it what I also did was take a q-tip and woould clean it with the alcohal.
