ultimate crib sheet / mattress pad question
If I am registering for the ultimate Crib sheet- which i'll be placing ontop of the fitted sheet. then do I also need a mattress pad?

I think so. We have the mattress, mattress pad on top of that, sheet on top of that and then the ultimate crib sheet on top of it all to protect the sheet.
The Ultimate Crib Sheet is one of the best things ever invented. Seriously. Make sure you have more than one though.

I have the same set up as you and an extra ultimate crib sheet.

This is what i plan to do as well.
I registered for the ultimate crib sheet (didn't actually see it at the store but added it online) and also registered for 2 other mattress protectors.

ok.. i registered for 2 ultimate crib sheets at BRU... for some reason online has the white and ecru choices but i only saw ecru in the store tonight...
i'll keep the mattress pad on there too then...

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Ultimate Crib Sheet. One of the best inventions EVER!!! 
I do not use a mattress pad in addition to that. I only use a fitted sheet on the mattress (so that it looks pretty through the crib slats), then the UCS over that. DD has some leaky diapers in the morning, and we've never had a problem since the UCS backing is waterproof. I'm all for changing as little as possible 
ETA: I agree with having 2 UCS. I was tempted to get a third since I change her sheet at least twice a week, but I haven't yet. Definitely get at least 2!

I discovered this incredible thing AFTER my shower, but used giftcards and bought *3* of 'em!!!! And wouldn't you know it, we've had NO leaky diapers in the crib yet, but I'm sure we have them in our future!!!!
