Transitioning from 2 naps a day to 1 nap a day
Did your child do this on his/her own, or did you help get them into that pattern? If you helped, what were the signs they were ready for the switch?
DD is almost 16 months and still taking 2 naps a day, for a total of maybe 2 hours a day between both naps. Morning nap is usually ~4 hours after she wakes up, usually sleeps around 45 minutes. Afternoon nap around 3pm, usually for a bit over an hour.
She still seems content with 2 naps/day. Should I be trying to switch her over to 1 nap?

I would stick with 2 naps/day for as long as she'll allow it!
Emily took 2 naps/day until right before she turned 2. At that point she moved to a new babysitter and she did one month a day (in september) but for a lot of the summer I was still giving her 2 and it was fine.

same here!
Kaitee had 2 naps a day until 17 months old and Brooke just went down to 1 nap a day a few weeks ago (right before her first birthday).
Both girls started sleeping 3-4 hours long during their first nap and then they drop the afternoon nap since they were taking 1 long nap.

He is usually on 1 nap now. Sometimes 2 but it's rare.
He transitioned himself. He just stopped sleeping in mid morning and mid afternoon.
He is now tired around 11:30-12. Sometimes a bit later.
Nap is usually during lunch time.

OMG def take the two naps, don't do a thing 
She'll let you know when it's time for 1 nap. My little one just did it. One day she woke up and wouldn't go down at her usual time for her am nap, i put her down later, slept for 1-2 hours and refused her afternoon nap. That was about 2 weeks ago..she's going strong on usually only 1 nap a day for 1-2 hours. DD is 15.5 months old.
She's also not that cranky a couple hours before bed so i know she's getting enough sleep..we get 12 hours a night with her.
My oldest just dropped her nap altogether SHe went down from 2 to 1 nap a day close to 2 years old.
Mommy misses nappy time 
ETA: My little one goes down at 10-11:30 for her only nap of the day

It is rare that DD takes her afternoon nap anymore. She totally phased it out on her own. I am now trying to push her only nap to later in the morning. She naps from 10-12 and that is it for the day.

She was 16 1/2 months when she showed me signs of only needing 1 nap. Although I feel she still can use 2 sometimes, if she gets 2 then she will not want to go to sleep at 7:30/8:00.
With 1 nap she welcoms bedtime.
I loved 2 naps!!!!

DS is 13 m and he takes 1 nap a day I try and push it later in the day so he usulay will nap from 11-12 untill 2, 2:30. Im kinda helping him get used to the later naps by keeping him busy in the ams

DS was 18 months old when he went from 2 naps to 1. I knew it was time when he just didn't want to go down for the second nap.
