Thoughts on this rug??

we just purchased new chocolate brown couches. Walls are mustard yellow and floors are wood. Is this rug too feminine...DH hates too feminine...

Re: Thoughts on this rug??

I love it! I don't think it's too feminine at all. If it was pink or purple....that would be feminine. It will look really good with the color scheme of the room.

I don't think it's too feminine. Although DH wouldn't say it's too busy. We tend to go for simpler styles. Chat Icon

Re: Thoughts on this rug??

My DH definitely wouldn’t go for it—too busy and too many flowers…I think I like it but it looks a bit 70s to me…

Re: Thoughts on this rug??

Sounds like it would go with your color scheme, but my 1st thought is the rug has a bit too much going ony. I would really have to see it with your furniture or in the room itself.

My DH would never in a million years let me purchase it.

I have to say I'd love this pattern on a maxi dress Chat Icon!

What about this rug?
Zumi Rug I tried to get DH to go for it since we have a cirle theme going on in our living room, but no diceChat Icon.

Re: Thoughts on this rug??

If the rest of your room is simple, I think the idea of a busier rug will add some nice depth to the space. That said, I don't think this is the rug given when you've mentioned about the color scheme. It already seems a bit monotone with the mustard / brown theme and I think you need an accent color that will pop against the other two colors - either a pale blue, a brick red or a camo green. I'd incorporate that into part of the rug (with the brown / mustard to tie it in) and add that in pillows to the couch and artwork in the room.

Re: Thoughts on this rug??

i asked DH about the rug, he said that it is busy, but not at all feminine, and even he would like it depending on what the rest of the room looked like - ie. light walls, dark furniture, simply furnished.

Re: Thoughts on this rug??

I don't think it's that feminine, but it's too busy for me. I'm pretty simple when it comes to rugs/decorating. If the pattern was a bit less condensed and there were no flowers I think it would appeal to me more.

Same here - I like it and think it would match well, but DH would not be a fan.
