Thoughts on my idiot of a pregnant friend...
So we are sitting outside at a birthday party with our DDs last weekend and she tells me to get out of the sun and go into the shade where she was under the tent....her doctor told her it was very bad to sit out in the sun while pregnant..
Which is fine....but she is doing this while drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette!!!! at 28 weeks pregnant!!!
You moron...you're smoking and drinking while carrying your unborn child and you're worried about a little sun???!!!!
I really wanted to b!tch slap her....

UGH I had a family member like that but I told her I was too embarassed to be seen with her in public -- so I basically avoided her through out her pregnancies.
Trash. Plain and Simple. Not something I want to associate myself with.

I'm sure she is going to have a perfectly healthy baby... and women who follow the doctor's orders 100% can unfortunately have babies who are not 100% healthy. It makes me ill!

I would have told her you were sitting all the way in the sun to avoid her second hand smoke and to let you know when she was done with her "doctor approved" cigarette so you could come back into the shade

i was told by an co-worker that a friend of hers smoked during her entire pregnancy and was even outside at her baby shower smoking with friends/famiily. the baby was fine

my sister worked with a girl that was a huge smoker and she smoked a pack a day during her entire pregnancy- she claimed that the doctor told her to continue because otherwise it could be a shock to the baby yea right

the beer would not bother me one bit (I had a few while pregnant after discussing with my doctor) but the cigarette smoking is crazy (and I am a smoker)
my BFF smoked throughout both of her pregnancies

An ocassional drink isn't an issue IMO - I had a glass of wine here and there. But to lecture someone about the do's and don'ts of pregnancy while drinking AND smoking ???? Are you serious?
