Thoughts on a Sweet 16 favor
A friends daughter received a wine glass that had her initials in sequins on it. All the girls received one. Not sure what the boys received.
I thought it was inappropriate for a sweet 16 favor. They didn't think it was a big deal.
Wondering if Im just a fuddy duddy

I think getting one single glass in general is a silly favor. Thinking about it, it’s probably not appropriate, but I’m sure they didn’t mean any harm.

I think it's inappropriate also, but I'm a fuddy duddy lol. I also think "mocktails" are inappropriate, along with the scantily clad clothing many of them wear to such events

I graduated in 1991 and went to a few proms before then.. ALL the favors were either a brandy glass or a champagne glass...
I was happy to dry my corsages in the glass... Never drank from it... I looked at is it as a favor.

We got a champagne glass too with the school name and the date on it. I just kept it in my room on a shelf.
The one posted above though- that's just tacky no matter what the age!

I was such a geek, I used to scour stores for interesting wine glasses and fill them with potpourri to decorate my bedrroom!
So yeah, I can see filling that glass with some kicking potpourri!

While on this topic, I've never understood why you'd want any item with someone else's initials and/or wedding/bridal shower/engagement date on them anyway.

This. And smirnoff ice. And if I were to pour anything into a "glass" it would be a solo cup.
And a solo cup is classier than that bedazzled monstrosity in the pic.

It’s not to drink out of, it’s to put on your dresser or something. I’m pretty sure we got a decorative champagne flute for senior prom. I wouldn’t put much thought into it.

This was the kids initals. Each kid got one with theres on it. Foumd out the boys also got a wine glass. Without the jewels. Just their initals that was geared for boys...lol She said she drank Shirley temples all night in it..lol
Now that a few people mentioned the high school prom favors, I think mine was also a glass of some type. I think a mug. Which I dont find as inappropriate as a wine glass.
