thoughts/feeing about a babysitter (12th grader) asking to bring a friend to watch your kids...
yay or nay? and why?
update: met the friend..she was very nice.. she is the town babysitter apparently lol. they are on a trail basis with this weekend.. so if it works out i have a back up sitter now :)

My neighbor is in her 1st year of college. When she watches my kids, she will sometimes bring her boyfriend. I am fine with it. I know them well and my kids love him too. She is a SUPER responsible kid.

Might not be a bad idea. When I was in 8th and 9th grade I did A LOT of babysitting but my BFF and I always did it together and then split the money. It was our little babysitting business and everyone always seemed happy to have "2 for 1". I'm guessing that if she's babysitting at night usually the kids are in bed and she might just want some company instead of being in a house all alone. KWIM?

I would be ok with a responsible female friend. I would probably want to meet her first.
I would NOT be ok with her having a boyfriend over.

If the friend is there, she won't have to text.
I guess it depends on how long you are going to be away. All day, yeah, maybe it would be nice for help. Really late - kids go to bed at 8... yea. A few hours between 4-8 - nah.
