The blood test results are in...
OK, well they confirmed that 1) yes i am indeed PG and 2)my hgc level is 243...i THINK this puts me at what i guessed...5 weeks. The receptionist i talked to told me she had no clue b/c the doctor was off today, but to relay that it was "243".
Sound about right ?

Congrats on your PG!! It's hard to judge from one Beta number. The number isn't as important as how much it increases.
Are you going for a second one? I wouldn't put too much into the numbers, they are not a good predictor of whether you have a viable or not pg. You can have a low beta number and have a successful pg.
At 3 1/2 weeks pg my beta was 70, at 4 weeks it was 190. I am now 22 weeks, fat and happy with a healthy baby girl who at my 19 week sono weighs 12oz already!!

Do a search for HcG. Normal pregnancies can have anywhere from 50-300 or so at 5 weeks from what I remember but there are charts all over the internet. That sounds good to me, they should do it again in 48 hrs and it should double
