The Affair
I'm still watching it! I liked the last episode.. and I like how they have been building up to Noah and Helen possibly getting back together the last couple of seasons. As crazy as it seems since he was such a colossal jerk I can totally understand how it would happen.
But I find it odd that Joni's character hasnt been on for weeks?? It kinda fizzled after the climax of her finding out the truth about her mom. I wonder if it gets revisited in the finale somehow?

I gave up weeks ago, it's a horribly boring season. I wish they had just ended it last season and gone out on a high note.

I am catching up on it and don't even know why I am wasting my time. Noah and Helen are probably the two most awful people I could care less about them and the whole Joanie storyline is horrible. I don't like the actress who plays her and I hate how they have the future all miserable. I am only up to when she first gets to Montauk though and sleeps with the bartender. I hope I at least get some flashbacks of Cole and find out a little more of his story after last season. They have ruined this show.

So agree! What a horrible season compared to the show as a whole season 1-4. I started binge watching it a month ago and couldn't stop. Now I have to push myself to watch it. One more episode, I believe so I will finish it through.

Well for those who hated the season it is over. I actually liked the ending a lot. It would have been better if the entire cast stuck it out til the end but they worked with what they had. Good music too.

They made up for the whole season in the last episode imo

I loved finding out who Ed was
I loved that they end together
I loved Noah and Joanie talking in the restaurant
It ended perfectly

I agree. Enjoyed the ending. They did a great job ending it without rest of cast.

I thought the ending to the show was perfect too. I do wish Cole and Alison had made it all the way through. I love how they tied it up in a nice, neat little bow for us.
Was there any particular meaning behind the dance he did in the end?

Yes, from the flash mob. Although Fiona Apple sang that song A M A Z I N G!
I liked how they ended it. His family all finally came back together with that dance. I am sure it is a beautiful memory for him.

I felt like she was included to give closure. It also let us see Noah help Joanie make a choice that he wasnt able to make in his youth (going back home, raising her kid, staying with her husband). It made us see Noah has changed.
