Hmm, I was told to use protection the cycle of the biopsy because, yes, it can endanger a pregnancy.
As far as pain: I heard getting through the cervix during that time in the cycle is rough because it's more closed than during ovulation. That part wasn't great, but having had IUIs, it wasn't anything to write home about. But I could feel them quickly scrape inside, and that was rough...for about 1/4 of a second. It was so fast that I didn't start reacting to the pain until it was over.
Honestly the whole thing was about 30 seconds. Take motrin. Treat yourself to a valium if you have a lot of anxiety. You'll be fine.

Endometrial Biopsy
Do you think I should wait since DH and I did try this cycle? I mean, I doubt I am pregnant considering I am seeing an RE in the first place, but that would be just my luck to screw it all up!

Honestly, it's your call depending on whether you're willing to delay it and how likely you think a pregnancy is. I might make them do a beta the day before the biopsy to make sure since the blood test is more sensitive than the the HPT.

My mom got an endometrial biopsy a couple months ago. She said it was uncomfortable but she toke a vicoden before she went (her doctor knew and gave her the prescription). She said that she could see it being painful for someone who didn't take anything but she also said it is over very quick.
