Testing and 4/5 yr olds
Teachers, help me understand this. My little girl went through a 2 hour IQ test to get into Kindergarten. Now they are doing a week worth of State exams, an hour a day of straight sit down test taking. She is 5, where as she can read and add and all that good stuff, the energy level is not geared towards that kind of test taking attention span.

I understand your frustration, but unfortunately, these types of tests are required in order to ensure your daughter obtains the proper services to meet her needs. They shouldn't be that bad. It's not like she's going to have to do reading comp or anything. GL!
