Tell me about your Moms; Do they work, are they retired, hobbies, etc.

I'd like to know what other gals my age are doing in this stage of their lives!! PS I'm 60 !! Mary

my mom, who is 55, worked doing the books for the family business all my life. Both parents are semi-retired now and my mom just sells Lia Sophia.

My mom is 60 and retired - she teaches religious ed and volunteers for hospice 2x a week.

My is 59 and self-employed. She works about 20 hours a week

My mother is 70. She retired about 7 years ago and moved to Florida 5 or 6 years ago. She does volunteer work at the library, goes to bible study and I think does some things for the church, plus she has an active social life - movies, plays mah jong (sp?), going out with friends, etc. She used to travel a little but her last few trips have been back to NY for Christmas & seeing her grandchildren (my sister's kids).

My mom is 64. She was let go 10 years ago & never went back to work. She helps her 89 year old mother out a lot. Grandma lives alone, but my mom takes her food shopping once a week & to DR apts when needed, and goes with my dad on the weekends when needed to help out fix/move things or run other errands.

That & taking care of her own house takes up most of her time.

She doesn't use the family computer, but wants to get her own laptop this year so she can shop online!

My mom is a 62 yr old retired teacher. My parents have a place in Florida that my mom goes to often, she has a lot of friends and family she spends time with. She also loves cooking and crochery.

My mom is 52. She is still working and making the $$$$. She and my step-dad own a sailboat and go skiing all the time.

My mom is 56. She was a stay at home mom with me & my sister and hasn't worked since then (except she used to work for my dad's business on Fridays b/c they were super busy). My dad sold his business in 2000 so their hobbies are driving each other crazy (j/k ). Her hobbies are: shopping, cooking, decorating and cleaning their house, and taking care of my grandparents

Both of my parents are 66. My dad works full time and is the primary caregiver of my mom. She is too ill to work anymore.

My mom is 67( a very young 67, I think) She is retired. She plays volleyball(if you can call it that ) every thursday night for the past 30 years . She golfs(not hardcore) She loves going to the movies(she used to go every Fri with her BFF, but she passed away from cancer a few months ago ) She used to go to ceramics but not anymore. She has a large circle of friends that keep her pretty busy.

My mom is 53 and is self-employed. She babysits at her house (mostly family and family friends). She watches a 6 year old (when there's no school), two five year olds, a 3 year old, a 1 year old, a 10 month old, and now recently a month old. The kids adore her...she is always surrounded by kids!

Her favorite hobby is scrapbooking...she goes to classes and makes some awesome family scrapbooks.

my mom is 64 retired for the past two years but my parents are pretty busy. Between trying to get as much traveling in they are now slowing down due to economic changes and some health issues. Most of their time now is doing local traveling (not out of the country), organizing their home (removing clutter, organizing the files, etc), they added a huge extension to the house so that made them start to evaluate all the clutter.
