Teenagers can be so damn cruel ...
My brother was out grabbing some take-out food for him and his wife. So on his way home he sees this kid come out of a candy store and my brother said he had on a really cool costume. He was some kind of bull but the top was all big like he was inside a bubble.
Anyways he comes out of the store and these group of teenagers (young teens) punch the kid and he falls to the floor and one of the teens grabs his bag of candy. So my brother seeing this gets ****** off and he chases the teen, catches him and takes the bag back. The teen says to my brother "yo man give me back that bag or i'll punch you in the face". My brother was like "go ahead and do it i'm right here and i'm not afraid of a little punk like you". So the teen attempted to hit my brother and he just pushed him and the teen landed on the floor. Then him and his crew just walked away and my brother handed the bag of candy back to the kid.
I hate seeing these punky teens out trick or treating. They have no costume but will show up at your door with a shopping bag and say trick or treat. I peek out my window first and if I see those kinds of punks I don't even answer the door. I only answer to the kids in costumes.
My SIL said that they saw one teenager punching a lady in the face because they felt like they didn't get enough candy. They were like "is this all the candy you got for us" and then boom! they punch her in the face!

You would think that as a teen you wouldn't want to go out trick or treating. I lost interest at like 11 or 12.
These teen punks do it to be trouble makers and ball breakers.
Last year I got a group of teens and they were picking out the candy that was in my bowl. I was like "Excuse me but I'd like to distribute the candy if you don't mind".

for your brother- I would have done the same thing. I work with them all day so they really make me angry when they do stupid stuff like that.
Last night, I must have said at least five times, How old are you???? One time the mom was with them and she said, he is only doing it to keep his younger sister company. He actually had a costume on and everything and I felt so bad. Especially when she said they really stopped by to welcome us to the neighborhood.

If they have a costume on and don't act annoying then fine.

I don't necessarily agree with his tactic but I do find it somewhat amuseing.

GOOD FOR YOUR BROTHER! I bet that little kid will never forget him!
We gave granola bars to the older ones who came to our door - or I pretended I had to change or feed the baby! ....it was an option for the younger ones along with all sorts of other candy! (and suprisingly very popular with the VERY young kids!!!)
