Switching from Optimum to Fios
So we have had the Optimum Triple Play for about 2 years now and my last bill was $180!!!! 
We only have basic cable with 1 DVR box... I just don't understand why our bill is so darn high!! I called to try and negotiate our plan to see if there is something they can do and they were NO HELP! 
To all of you who made the switch to Fios, was it a good decision?? Fios is running a special now and it's $89 for the Triple Play for 2 years. That would save us a lot of money each month, but I just don't want to switch and regret it.

best decision ever. We are very happy we switched.
We have an upgraded plan that comes to $119 including taxes and fees with multi room dvr.

wow thats a great deal- we have time warner and were thinking of switching to fios too
I would definitely go for it at that price

I thought so too! I'm sure it will be over $100 with taxes and stuff, but at least we will get some extras!! I'm sure switching from Cable is a good negotiating tool, too! lol

We got $150 visa card too. We have multi room dvr and showtime with faster internet.

we have had FIOS for over a year now and when we moved into our new house we never plugged in the phone.
DH just called them today to get the phone number so we can start using the phone (we had the number but lost the paper it was written on) and while he was on the phone with them they upgraded our internet speed and ave us premium channels for free for 2 years.....we weren't even complaining about anything.
This is why I love FIOS.....cablevision would never give you anything even when there was a problem.
