Everybody knew and everyone was complicit; the girls suffered but thought they were doing the right thing because they were conditioned to think that they were special, their families were getting the benefit, and that because he was famous it must have been OK.
Normalizing sexual abuse and assault under the guise of celebrity is sickening. There is so much abuse going on today that would make your stomachs turn.

Oh, and Gaga can go to helll with her apology. Nobody ever apologizes or thinks they've done anything wrong until the public backlash starts. She's so desperate for an Oscar she doesn't want this to tank her.

Just watched it. So disturbing. I feel so bad for the parents of Jocelyn. I cannot believe it has been three years. Has R Kelly addressed this ever I wonder? Can’t tell from the few interviews I have seen. The other young lady that escaped with her mother then returned to him for a few days and then went back to her mother. So glad she made it out!

And the fact that he was turning her from girl to boy -- has anyone addressed that more? I would hope that this doesnt mean he is going to start (or already has been) messing with young boys as well. The whole thing is so disgusting and disturbing

It amazes me what people will do for money and the potential for success. Seems many of these girls were victims because they thought, or their families thought, it would advance their careers. Scary!

I was curious about this too, thinking maybe he was gay, hence why he likes underage (and underdeveloped) girls. maybe young girls are more like boys to him? i dunno... curious...

Holy cow.
First. His brother. From jail no less commenting like so what he likes em young.
Second. Yes he’s a predator and should be locked up. But so should all the people working with him. Assistants. Producers. People who were physically there and saw things. For years
Third. I don’t know why everyone is on Gaga and John legend. Is it not a good thing they are speaking up. Also make sure you’re mad at every other athlete and singer etc. even the ones he wrote songs for
Do the girls ever leave the house. I would camp out that house and never leave. My heart broke for those parents watching them wave at the window

John Legend was on it because he wanted to be a voice AS someone in the music industry who spoke up even if he was going to be criticized; he is also friends with the exec producer. Dream Hampton asked Beyonce, Erykah Badu, Gaga and many others to be a part and they declined.
The issue I took with Gaga's apology (and others) is that they were all FINE AND DANDY to work with R. Kelly despite knowing all of this about him. They had no problem collaborating with him in spite of his history of abuse. They just ignored it because it didn't affect them and they wanted to use his music. They are only apologizing now because they don't want it to look like they just ignored it. It's all optics. So do I think Gaga or anyone who worked with him is huge giant demon hellbeast, no, I just think they're probably shitt and move on with my life.

I know I may get flamed for this, but I kind of feel sorry for him. He is doing on a larger scale, what his older sister did to him. Not that he's "off the hook" for repeating the cycle - he should definitely be in jail. I just wonder what his life would've been like had he not been molested.

Don’t think there is anything wrong with saying this. He was forced to do sex acts on his older sister. That changes who you are. You can never be normal after that. I also just read that at 8 yrs old he had a “girlfriend” who was pushed into a river right in front of him and died. I work in child welfare and I see the cycle of kids who are abused and it’s an ongoing cycle. So sad really. I feel so bad for them. It’s painful to looks at these kids and know they are gonna grow up to have issues and there’s not much you can do to help. If his mother had been aware and had gotten therapy for him things may not have turned out so bad, but that doesn’t always help either

The grooming aspect to this is HUGE and shouldn't be ignored. It's a key aspect to their psyche. They are totally repeating the cycle of abuse. It's not an excuse but it absolutely comes into play.

OMG I had no idea that the family member was his sister. I binged the whole thing too. And Gina, ITA about the brother in jail who almost defended his actions 
None of the victims are to blame, neither are their parents. It makes me furious how there are so many people online who say, "where were the parents?" Please, like your parents knew everything you did when you were a kid, SMH
Something bothered me about the one who was in the pee tape with the 14-yo. Why is it that she didn't seem to be apologetic or cry until she said "I found out they were trying to kill me". 
There were so many people in his camp who knew what was going on and said NOTHING. They helped to starve these women as far as I'm concerned. Just as guilty
