There's a reason why you never see Suri Cruise in denim: She "hates jeans and favors dresses," a source tells the latest Us Weekly (on newsstands now), which reveals surprising new details on the lavish lifestyles of Hollywood kids.

I may be in the minority, but I am really a bit disturbed by the amount of media attention this poor young child gets.

I am sorry but a LOT of little girls prefer dresses so why does Suri need to wear denim??
Also-the purse she carries is probably one of Katies MANY purses....who cares?

You're not. I think it's terrible. It used to be that kids were sort of off limits unless they get into the business but now it seems they are fair game too.

This is news?
Anyone who looks at her can tell she likes to wear dresses. No one in their right mind would argue with a child EVERY day to get her into a dress.
As for Shiloh, it's obvious she's dressing herself too. She used to be dressed in little dresses as a girl. She's emulating her brothers with the boys clothes.

How is it news that that little girl prefers dresses? Anyone with eyesight can see that.
And as far as the purse goes, well, they are rich. It's probably one of Katie's old purses, but even if its not, $850 is not *that* much considering their income level. Katie is no doubt walking around with $5,000+ purses, so I don't see the big deal.

I am the last person to defend Tom Cruise on anything, but I would also build a private playground if the media spent this much time and energy on my kid every time she left the house.

Well, I am one of those moms who loves to see little girls in dresses. My daughter closet is filled with tons and tons of dresses and skirts. Very few pants in her closets.

I agree with everyone who says that Suri, etc, need to be left alone. My 3 year old hates jeans- I don't think they are comfortable for her- and loves dresses too. Getting drunk when you are 10 is growing up too fast- insisting on dresses when you are in preschool is not.
