Summer getaway with 10 year old
Hello! My SO and I want to go away this summer for about 4 nights. He has a ten year old son and we want him to have a great time! I was thinking Aruba, Cayman Islands, Bermuda or Barbados.
Does anyone know of any kid friendly places to stay on these islands. We also want a non-stop flight.
Just want to make sure we all have a good time! Thanks for any help or suggestions!

We just came back from Puerto Rico with my son who is 12 and my SO's son who is 11 and we LOVED it. We stayed in Palmas del Mar in Humacao.

Summer getaway with 10 year old
Last week I brought my 6 and 9 year old to Hilton Rose Hall in Jamaica. It was AMAZING. Extremely safe, delicious food, lots of activities for the kids. The resort has a lazy room and a ton of water slides.
We booked through Costco and got a great deal.
Also, over the summer I went to Barbados. We stayed at a condo next to the Margaritaville, which is all-inclusive. The beach was a gorgeous man-made cove. However, the actual resort just seemed okay to me. I loved the island. It was beautiful and safe. But VERY EXPENSIVE. I'd choose Jamaica over Grand Cayman.

It depends on what he likes to do...
Is he a strong swimmer? Aruba has amazing snorkeling and water sports but I find that being a strong swimmer is more important to participate
.
Is he into meeting new wildlife? Stingrays and Blue iguanas both are a feature at grand Cayman and I find that it’s easier to snorkel right from the beach.
Puerto Rico has so much culture you can experience easily and the bioluminescent kayaking is really mind blowing.
With such a short time span... I would also consider going to Florida. Everglades are cool to visit and beaches are amazing. Clearwater aquarium was so cool.
I haven’t been to Jamaica yet... so can’t comment on that.

Not any island. But you can grab a quick flight to Myrtle Beach. A lot to do there for that age.

For Bermuda I believe Grotto Bay is good for kids. They just put in one of those inflatable water playgrounds. They also have caves that look awesome. I have never stayed there though.
Also amazing is Rosewood Tucker's Point in Bermuda. They have lots of kids programs that look very fun - junior golf and tennis and Rosewood Explorers but might not be as fun if you are looking to spend time together.
Both of those resorts are right near the airport. Grotto Bay is definitely more reasonably priced than Tuckers.
