Suffolk North Shore school districts - school and tomorrow re the snow?
So what do you suspect your SD will do tomorrow regarding the snow? Be closed... nothing, or maybe delayed opening?
eta - supposed to be a lot of ice. What do you think most districts will do?

Suffolk school districts - school and tomorrow re the snow?
In our district the HS is in the middle of mid-terms. I think they will stay open unless its worse than predicted.

Im really hoping for nothing. My kids are only in pre-k but their school follows Sachem's schedule and since they are in the morning program they get cancelled even if it's a delayed opening.

I just got the call that as of now, there will be a 2 hour delayed opening. They will call again in the morning if that changes to a full closing.

Please worry about safety first and school second. It may be an inconvenience but better safe then sorry. Ice is a serious thing especially they amount they are predicting.
Perhaps your car is better equipped with lets say better tires and AWD but others aren't. Ice on top of the already few inches of snow that will fun will not be a good time.

We didn't get a delay call yet but I really think they are going to close tomorrow. Stony Brook and Setauket always get hit hard and it just won't be safe with the buses. Now starts the take away from vacation days.

The district I teach in and another surrounding one on south shore Nassau are on a delay already.

Especially with the looming forecast for Sunday, I think most are going to try and stick with the delayed opening.

CSH, HHH, Elwood and commack are closed. Deer park is delayed 2 hour opening.
